Chili Crisp
Infusion Instructions:
- Prepare the Oil: Heat 1/2 cup of oil (we recommend a mix of olive oil & avocado oil) in a saucepan over medium heat until it’s hot enough to infuse and roast the ingredients.
- Add the Mix: Pour in the Chili Bees Chili Crisp Mix directly into the hot oil, allowing it to roast to your desired level of doneness.
- Finish the Infusion: Add the remaining 1/2 cup of oil and continue heating until the mixture begins to bubble.
- Cool and Store: Turn off the heat, let the mixture cool in the saucepan, then transfer it into an 8 oz heatproof glass jar.
- Sweetness: For a balanced sweet & spicy flavor, add a teaspoon of maple syrup or cane sugar.
Chili Crisp W/Herbs
Slow Infusion:
- Start with Gentle Heat: Pour 1/2 cup of oil (we recommend a blend of olive oil & avocado oil) into a saucepan and warm it over low to medium heat. Important: Add the Chili Bees Chili Crisp Mix with Herbs before the oil becomes too hot to allow a slower infusion.
- Slowly Infuse the Mix: Stir occasionally, letting the herbs and spices infuse gradually into the oil. Adjust the heat as needed to avoid overheating.
- Complete the Infusion: Once the mixture reaches a gentle simmer, add the remaining 1/2 cup of oil and continue heating slowly until small bubbles appear.
- Cool and Store: Turn off the heat, let the mixture cool in the saucepan, then transfer it into an 8 oz heatproof glass jar.
